- To be eligible for a Year 7 seat at Chatham and Clarendon Grammar School, all students must pass the Kent 11 Plus entrance test.
- There is a 5-minute practice exercise and a 25-minute test in English and Mathematics. The multiple-choice test lasts one hour.
- Reasoning and Maths make up the exam. It is a one-hour multiple-choice exam. The final portion consists of a 40-minute writing assignment.
